Obituary for Scott Lawrence Lee Scott Lawrence Lee, aged 49, entered his eternal rest on Thursday, July 26, 2018, after a five-year battle with cancer. Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2018, from 5-8 pm at the Mahn Family Funeral home at 1624 37th Street NW Rochester, MN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 31, at Resurrection & Life Lutheran Church 4520 19th Ave NW, Rochester MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Scott was born on July 9, 1969, to Luverne and Darlene (Strusz) Lee. He grew up in Red Wing, attended Martin Luther Preparatory highschool in Prairie du Chien, WI, completed an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in psychology and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology in 2000. Scott practiced as a licensed clinical psychologist in Bluffton, Fort Wayne, and Warsaw, IN.
He specialized in addiction and adolescent counseling. Faith and family were important to Scott. He was an active member of his church and especially enjoyed youth groups.
He had a special bond with his many nieces and nephews, enjoyed family gatherings and time on his brother’s front porch. His wise counsel and ready wit will be greatly missed. Scott is survived by his wife of nearly 28 years, Kris; his father Luverne Lee of Red Wing, and four siblings; a twin sister, Shelley Stevens of Columbus, OH; Linda (David) Olson of Red Wing; Diane (Dean) Carlson of Red Wing, and Daniel (Dianne) Lee of Haycreek, MN.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Lee, and his brother Steven Lee. The family would like to thank the Mayo Clinic nurses and hematology team, especially stations 73 and 74, for their dedication, compassion and the care they provide for many patients every day. Memorials are preferred to Citizens Against Drug Abuse, Wells County, IN.
