Jane Ashworth, 97, of 221 Parkland Drive, Danville, VA died on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Crossings at Iron Bridge in Chester, VA after being in declining health for several years. Mrs. Ashworth was born on January 23, 1922 in Danville VA. She spent all of her life in the Danville area where she owned and operated Ashworth Florist.

She was a member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church. On April 9, 1939, she married Robert Lee Ashworth who died on March 19, 2014. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by two sisters, two brothers and a grandson, Robert A. “Bobby” Ashworth.

Survivors include, sons Stephen Ashworth (Betsy) of Chester, VA and David Ashworth of Danville, VA; grandchildren, James Ashworth of Danville, VA and Chastity Myers of Chester, VA; and great grandchildren, Ericka Myers and Megan Myers. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel is respectfully serving the Ashworth family. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Jane Ashworth please visit our Sympathy Store.
