Janet Faye (Schneider) Beck, 71, of Evansville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House surrounded by family and friends. Janet was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 29, 1946 to the late Willie and Kathryn (Wright) Schneider. She was a 1964 graduate of North High School.

Janet is survived by her loving husband of… Read More » almost 53 years, William “Billy” Beck of Evansville, IN; daughter, Jennifer Garland (Bryon) of Evansville, IN; granddaughters, Victoria and Alexandra Garland; sisters, Carolyn Schapker (Jim), Mary Ann Beck (Marlin) and Pamela Pepper (Roger); sister-in-law, Harla Schneider; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Janet was preceded in death by her son, Bryan in 1987; mother, Kathryn Schneider in 1990; father, Willie Schneider in 1997; brothers, Ronald “Ronnie” Schneider in 2010 and Ernest “Ernie” Schneider in 2010; and by her sister-in-law, Norma Schneider in 1994.

Janet enjoyed eating out with friends, working puzzles, playing cards, and most recently, traveling. The highlight of her life was spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed every moment with her granddaughters.

She was always there to support them in all of their school programs, sporting events, and extra-curriculars. Janet went out of her way to help others. Her giving heart was like no other.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Tyrone Edwards officiating. Entombment will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Reitz High School Softball Booster Club or to Reitz High School Volleyball. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
