Obituary for Mrs. Janice “Gayle” Addis Fitzgerald Janice “Gayle” Addis Fitzgerald, 75, wife of Harold Fitzgerald, of 378 Coffee Road, Walhalla, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. A native of Walhalla, SC, Mrs. Fitzgerald was the daughter of the late Nathan Earl Addis and Helen Williams Addis. She retired as a 911 dispatcher from Oconee County Sheriff’s Department.

Mrs. Fitzgerald was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Fitzgerald is survived by her son: Barry Fitzgerald of Seneca, SC; daughter: Melissa Saxon of Westminster, SC, Lita Justus of West Union, SC and Rhonda Tippett of Walhalla, SC; brother: Terry Addis of Walhalla, SC; sister: Beckie Cromer of Newry, SC; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by her brother: Ronald Addis; and sister: Sandra Campbell.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial Department, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or to The Alzheimer’s Association- SC Chapter, 4124 Clemson Blvd. , Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621, or to The Oconee Human Society, P.O.
