Carolyn Earlene Phillips Gosnell, 76, wife of William “Charles” Gosnell, of 302 Hunter Street, Seneca, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Oconee Memorial Hospital. A native of Oconee County, SC, Mrs. Gosnell was the daughter of the late Clyde Kenton Phillips and Minnie Mae Wood Phillips. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading in her free time.

Mrs. Gosnell was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gosnell is survived by her sons: Mark Gosnell and Jim Gosnell; daughters: Jenny Sanders (Terry), Judy Towe, Tammy Smith (Billy) and Jo Ann Sanders; sister: Kathy Field (Lee Gibson); eighteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gosnell was preceded in death by her son: John Joseph Gosnell; sisters: Brenda Haggerty and Dolly Jordan; grandson: Adam Towe; and great-grandson: Jacey McCarter.
