Obituary for Janice S. Morton-Peters Janice S. Morton-Peters, 69, of Anderson, passed away on May 31, 2018 at her residence. She was born on December 14, 1948 in Anderson, where she resided all of her life. She retired as a nurse with Dr. Stanley Thomas Hearing Center.

She also had worked at St. John’s Hospital. . She attended Main Street Church of God, was a member of The Order of Eastern Star, and The Moose Lodge #2138.

She enjoyed fishing, spending time with her great-granddaughter, going to gun shows, and the races with her husband. Janice is survived by her children, Jamie Morton, Mike (Julie) Peters, Cathy (Curtis) Davis; grandchildren, Candice (Justin) Meese, Michaela Miller, Baylee Niccum, Dustin Peters, Jordan Morgan; great-grandchildren, Brelin Meese, Amiya Franklin; and her brother, Robert Anthony She was preceded in death by her husband, Norval “Pete” Peters; mother, Arminta Anthony; father, Alden Anthony; and her sister, Rita Goodman. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson.

Services will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the funeral home, with Rev. Gary McCaslin officiating. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park.
