Jean Dones Back, 68, of Icetown, passed away Friday May 4, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville surrounded by her family. She was born July 31, 1949 in Nelson County, retired education coordinator for Central Kentucky Head Start for 30 years, an employee for Wal-Mart, and a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Regina Rae Back; parents, Grover Cleveland and Evelyn Dones; three brothers, Wilard Dones, Gerald Dones, and Kenny Dones; and sister, Lois Lashley.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Darrell Back of Icetown; three daughters, Georgia (Danny) Clan of Bardstown, Charlotte (Roy) Dyer of TN, and Anita Back of Icetown; four grandchildren, Caitlin O’Bryan, Evelyn Clan, Kay Dyer, and Josh Dyer; three brothers, Steve (Janet) Dones, Larry (Nancy) Dones, and Grover Cleveland “June Bug” Dones Jr. of all three of Icetown; sister, Gennie (Jack) Haseldon of North Vernon, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home, with inurnment in Marshall Family Cemetery at a later date. Rev.

Jim Graf will officiate. Visitation will be 3 to 8 pm Monday May 7 and 9 to 11 am Tuesday May 8 at Barlow Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to Hospice of Nelson County.
