Jean Horner Smith, 89 of Parkersburg, passed away November 1, 2018 at the Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born January 25, 1929 in West Point, MS a daughter of the late Luke and Lottie (Wiley) Horner. Jean was a warrior’s wife, a wife of a military career husband, who was dedicated to her family.

She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church and a former member of the Eastern Star and Ladies Oriental Shrine. Surviving is her son and his wife, Don and Judi Smith of Elkton, MD and her adopted family: Andrew and Kyle Regan and Ben Vierheller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Smith, daughter Lola Jean Tunison and sister-in-law Lola Boyle.

Funeral services will be Tuesday 11 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery at Grafton. Visitation will be Monday 5-8PM.
