Joan Lawman M. Joan Lawman, 81 of Parkersburg, passed away December 8, 2018 at the Harmer Place in Marietta, OH. She was born November 14, 1937 in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late Alpha G. and Gladys V. (Robinson) Lawman. Ms. Lawman was a manager for the Belpre BP gas station.

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church of Parkersburg. She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Eagles Auxiliary #1547 and Women of the Moose Chapter 543. Joan was the last member of her immediate family.

Surviving are several cousins and longtime friends, her caregivers: Michelle Johnson and Charla Marks of Belpre and her faithful companion Ginger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Valeria L. Sams and Margaret Ann Morton, brother Alpha J. Lawman and life-long friend and companion Carolyn Tice in 2011. Memorial services will be Saturday 10AM, December 22, 2018 at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with The Reverend Marjorie Bevans officiating.

Interment of cremated remains will be in Parkersburg Memorial Gardens at a later date. Friends will be received one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd 903 Charles Street Parkersburg, WV 26101.
