L. Kay Morrison Luella Kay (Simons) Morrison passed away on January 30, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 29, 1939 to Byron D. and Effie Gale (Garrett) Simons in Clarksburg, WV. Kay graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School with the class of 1957.

She worked for C&P Telephone Co. in Clarksburg and retired from Bell Atlantic in Parkersburg in 1993 with thirty-two years of service. Kay loved the beach, spending time at her pool, and watching sports with her husband, Bill, especially football and basketball. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Parkersburg.

Kay is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years William H. Morrison; her five children William H. Jr. and wife Carole, Jeffrey S. and wife Stephanie, Michael B. and wife Diana, Douglas L. and Sue, and daughter Rebecca K Newell and Debbie; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Anna L. Squires of Beaufort, SC and Mabel L. Franks of Maryville, LA; a brother George B. Simons (Carolyn) of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday February 2, 2019 at First Lutheran Church, 19th and Plum Street in Parkersburg, WV.

Interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Clarksburg, WV on Saturday at 2:00 PM with a graveside service. Visitation will be Friday 4-8 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Donations in Kay’s memory may be made to First Lutheran Church in Parkersburg, WV.

The family would like to extend special thanks to her loving friend, Connie Kerns, her doctors Haile and Miller, and her therapists and Hospice nurses.
