Ricky Joe DeVore, 59, of Parkersburg died January 29, 2019 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, OH. Ricky was born on February 25, 1959 in Colorado Springs, CO and was the son of Betty DeVore and the late Blaine Joseph DeVore. Ricky was a U.S. Army Veteran serving 21 years with the West Virginia Army National Guard.

He was deployed as a UH1 Crew Chief aircraft mechanic during Operation Desert Storm and deployed to Peru in 2006 as a UH60 aircraft mechanic supporting Operation New Horizons. He was serving Company B834 Aviation Support Battalion when he retired. Ricky worked 6 years for the Wood County Sheriff Department.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Martha Jane DeVore and a sister Tammy DeVore Fox (George). In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother Robert DeVore. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 PM Monday February 4, 2019, at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father John Rice officiating.

Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with full military rites provided by the West Virginia Army National Guard Honor Guard. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6-8 PM with a Wake service at 8, at Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg.
