Carolyn Anne Ratliff, 81, of Little Hocking, Ohio went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2019, at her home after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born December 13, 1937 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She is the daughter of the late Howard (Mac) V. McCoy and Geraldine (Gerry) G. Stevens McCoy.

Besides her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother Steven McCoy. Carolyn was a wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked at what was once Best Photo in Parkersburg and retired from Nashua Photo after 39 years in the photo finishing industry.

She was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church and the Porterfield Community Association. Carolyn enjoyed spending time in the mountains or on a sandy beach; however her greatest joy was in spending time with her family and close friends. William Carl Ratliff her husband of 62 years, their two daughters, Christina (Rick) Simmons of Parkersburg, Carla of Mineral Wells, three sons, Dennis (Donna) of Madison Heights, VA, Donald of Belpre and Jeffery of Little Hocking.

Six grandchildren, Justin, Ruth Ann, Amy, Zachary, Christopher and Stephanie and eight great-grandchildren survive to cherish her memory. Carolyn is also survived by her sisters Bernita Werner of Belpre, and Alice (Dick) Shanks of Coolville, a brother Ron McCoy (Diane) of Belpre, along with brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law nieces, nephews, and some special friends. The family sincerely thanks Kay Gillen, Suzanne Fleischer, Debbie Hennen and Amedysis Hospice for the care and comfort they gave to Carolyn during her illness.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, February 1, at 11 a.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, 801 Victor Street, Belpre, OH with Rev. Mark Eaton officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 31, from 6 pm to 8 pm and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
