Jeanie Marie (Gilbert) Bailey, 51, of 211 Bowman St., Dickson City, formerly of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the home of her parents. Jeanie was born in Tampa, FL on May 6, 1967, a daughter of James L. and JoAnn Marie (Fucci) Gilbert Sr. On July 12, 1988 Jeanie married Douglas C. Bailey; he survives. A 1985 graduate of Meadville High School, Jeanie went on to further her education by earning her Bachelor’s Degree from Lamar University in Beaumont,… Read More » TX, as well as her Master’s Degree in Special Education and later a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Marywood University in Scranton.

For many years Jeanie was employed as a case worker for Children and Youth Services of McKean County. She enjoyed spending time at the McKean County SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). She loved all animals, especially her dogs.

She will be sadly missed. In addition to her husband, Jeanie is survived by two children Sean Bailey of Niagara Falls, NY, Nicole Bailey of Bradford, her parents James and JoAnn Gilbert of Meadville, her brother James L. Gilbert, Jr. of Cambridge Springs, two nephews Tyler and Matthew Gilbert. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 1:30-3 PM and 5:30-7 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC.
