Grifton- Jefferson Willis Boyd,77, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Ayden Court with his family by his side. He was born in Pamlico County to the late Sultan Morris Boyd and Ruby Willis Boyd. Jefferson worked as a mechanic for Dupont, and was a member of the Grifton Rescue Squad for more than 35 years.

He loved riding his motorcycle. Jefferson loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Betty Tingle Boyd, a daughter, Wendy and husband John Pope, a son Jeffery and wife Lisa Boyd, grandchildren, Andrew and Dani Pope , Kendal and Karstan Pope and Ashton and Ambrly Boyd.

He is also survived by his sisters Sylivia Norman and Becky and husband L C Tingen. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, 3pm at Farmer Funeral Service in Ayden. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 1-3pm at funeral home.
