Jessie Beal, age 89, of Carthage, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Tara Plantation. She was born in Moore County on March 26, 1929 to the late Curtis Wicker and Mae Wicker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Parks and two granddaughters, Sonya and Krista.

Jessie is survived by two daughters, Susie Barnes and husband, Eddie of Sanford and Shirley Pittman and husband, Kenneth of Southport; one son, Johnny Beal and wife, Judi of Mt. Morris, Michigan; one brother, William Wicker of Greensboro; two sisters, Flossie Beal of Sanford and Leatha Garner of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Buffalo Cemetery with Rev.
