Joan Alice Rachkoskie, 63, of 1776 Johnstown Rd. , Mifflinburg, for the past 30 years, entered into rest at 9:38 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born September 16, 1954, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Thelda Irene (Kessler) Bingaman of Mifflinburg, and the late Robert M. Bingaman.

On October 9, 2004, she married William “Bill” S. Rachkoskie, who survives. Joan was a 1972 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. She was employed as a C.N.A. at Riverwoods, Lewisburg, for over 20 years, and also worked at Kan-trac-ter, sewing mill, Mifflinburg.

Joan enjoyed caring for people and having picnic with her family and friends. She loved her family and her grandchildren were her life. Surviving in addition to her mother and husband of 13 years, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Charlie Hackenburg of Mifflinburg, and Julie and Eric Heisey of New Berlin; one brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Jane Bingaman of Montandon; and two grandchildren, Kyle and Allison Heisey.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd. , Mifflinburg, with Rev. Richard VonNeida, officiating.
