Joan Schultz, 69 of Manalapan, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born Tuesday, June 28, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York, Joan was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Rankin. Joan’s family would move to Staten Island at a young age and that is where she was raised.

Joan would go onto graduate from St. Louis Academy on Staten Island, where she was a member of the Glee Club. After starting her family on Staten Island she would move Manalapan, New Jersey. Joan was the owner of Joans Kids Child care in Manalapan.

In recent years she found a talent in Interior Decorating and Design, helping her loving partner Bill in buying and selling homes. Joan loved taking vacations, especially to her favorite place the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Joan will be missed by all those that were blessed to have had her as such an important part of their lives.

Joan is survived by her beloved partner, Bill Brown, by her loving children, Peter Schultz and his wife Aimee, Michelle Schnorrbusch and her husband KevinJohn, and Brian Schultz and his wife Maria, by her cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Brianna, Tyler, Joseph, Hailey, Jaiden, Logan, and a soon to be born grandson, and by her caring sister, Denise McCord and her husband Rick, and caring brother, Bill Rankin and his wife Ann, and by her loving dog Sara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday at St. Thomas More Church located at 186 Gordons Corner Rd Manalapan Township, New Jersey 07726. Interment will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick, NJ.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
