Concetta Busacca, 88 of Manalapan, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey, surrounded by her loving family. Born Thursday, June 26, 1930 in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Guzzardi. Concetta (Connie) was born and raised on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

After graduating from Julia Richman High School, Concetta worked as a full charge bookkeeper. She would meet and marry the love of her life, Joseph Busacca, and the two would be married for 47 years before his passing in 2004. Concetta lived on Staten Island before moving to Manalapan to be closer to family.

Concetta was an excellent cook, and loved entertaining; she regularly had the whole family together for Sunday dinners and holidays. She enjoyed listening to music from the Big Band Era and singing and dancing. In her spare time, she also enjoyed reading and watching movies.

She additionally was a member of the Italian American Association of Monmouth County. More than anything, she loved her family and being with them. Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life.

She will be missed by all those that were blessed to have had her in their lives. Concetta is survived by her loving children, Joseph Serao and his wife Kimberley, Robert Serao and his wife Rose, and Anthony Busacca and his wife Linda, by her cherished grandchildren, Leah Serao Battillo, Samantha Busacca, Dana Serao, Michael Busacca, Jennifer Serao, and Alexa Serao, and two step grandchildren, Nicole Roman and Jacob Roman, and by her loving cousins, Rose Formica, Margaret Giacomazzo, and Joseph Guzzardi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday at St. Thomas More Church located at 186 Gordons Corner Rd Manalapan Township, New Jersey 07726.

Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
