JoAnn Sallese, 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30, 2018 in Joliet. Born July 21, 1951 in Princeton Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Goldie Glenn and Alpha May (Britton) Butcher of Carmi Illinois. The family came to Joliet via Wyoming when JoAnn was 3 years old.

She attended St. Peter’s Lutheran school, graduated from JTHS West and worked as a secretary. JoAnn was a devoted member of the American Legion Harwood Post 5 Women’s Auxiliary, selling countless Bingo cards and serving as past unit president, past American Legion Auxiliary 11th District President, and past Chapeuax of Eight & Forty, DuPage Salon. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Anthony R. Sallese of Joliet, and her sister Genevieve Dillard of Estero Florida.

A beloved family member, she will be missed by Tony, Tony’s children and grandchildren, her sister, her nephews, and her many friends.
