Obituary for Joe Burke Joseph “Joe” Burke, age 39, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Chaplain Andrew Zuehlke officiating. Calling hours will begin noon Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, a general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent for Joe’s family through the web at www.
jonesfh.com. Joe was born May 11, 1979 in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the son of Bill and Debra (Barnes) Burke.
He attended school in Ft Madison. Joe was united in marriage to Stacy Kelly on August 13, 2005 in Washington, Iowa. Joe had recently worked for ACH Foam Technology in Washington.
He enjoyed bowling, camping and the Dallas Cowboys but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Stacy Burke and children: Trista Kelly and Kellton Burke, all of Washington, IA; father, Bill (Deanna) Burke of Denmark, IA; siblings: Brenda (Justin) Zaugg of Washington, IA; Lexy (Eric) Mitchell of Ft. Madison, IA; Lacy Burke (Travis Gustafson) of Denmark, IA; Lindsay Burke of Washington, IA; and Lany Burke of Denmark, IA; nieces and nephews: Cheyenne and Kylan Gillette; Emily and Hunter Kelly; Bryson Kelly; Aubrey and Mason Gustafson; and Aiden Mitchell; and brothers and sister-in-law: Kevin Kelly, Brian Kelly and Melody DeWitt, all of Washington, IA.
