John D. Ring, 77 passed away on July 8, 2018 in Holdenville. He was born on November 1, 1940 in Dustin, Oklahoma to Loyd and Esther (Padgett) Ring. He attended Dustin Public Schools.

John owned and operated his own heat and air conditioning business in Holdenville for many years until his retirement in 2002. He married Joy Dooley on April 3, 1959 in Holdenville. He was a member of Banner Baptist Church.

Ring, siblings Vernon Ring, Patricia Cherry, and MaeDeen Traylor, father and mother-in-law Clint and Aubrey Dooley, brothers-in-law Troy Dooley, Melvin Priest and sister-in-law Deborah Priest. Survivors include his wife Joy of the home, son Russell Ring and wife Tina, daughter Ellen Sewell and husband Jeff, grandchildren Tiffany Cook and husband Jeff, Jenni Allen and husband Tommy, Nichole Ring, Randi Sue Hauff and husband Casey, Felisha Ring, Katelyn Martin and husband Cameron, 18 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Wanda Dooley, brother-in-law Bob Dooley and wife Glenda, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00PM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Holdenville. Bro. Ron Chastine will officiate the service.

Pallbearers will be Randy Brown, Mark Brown, Billy Brown, Larry Wichert, Jim Smith, and Larry Scroggins. Honorary bearers will be Virgil Gann, Jim Ray Thompson, Steve McNaughten, Lenzie Anderson, Terry W. Hardwick, Ronnie Stringfellow, Richard Nolan, Arvil Baldridge, Jerry Don Davis. Interment will follow at the Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.
