Obituary for John Dawson Harvey Paul “John” Dawson, 79, of High Point, formerly of St. Albans passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018. Born April 3, 1939, in Charleston, WV, John was the son of the late Paul and Margaret Koegel Dawson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and served two tours during the Vietnam War.

He was retired from Macy’s Department Store. John is survived by his daughter, Cindy Dawson Ray, of Carrollton, GA; a granddaughter, Carrie Wrixon and husband, Craig; two grandsons, Casey Ray and wife, Kimberly, and Christopher Ray; two great grandchildren, Brayden Craig Ray and Abigail Laine Wrixon; and a dear friend of over 20 years, Linda Gleason. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans with Pastor James Dennis officiating.
