Daddario, 92, of New Britain, CT. died peacefully at the Hospital of Central CT at New Britain General surrounded by his family Monday, June 25, 2018 after a short illness. John was born in New Britain on September 27, 1925 and was the son of the late Vittorio and Gemma (Ruffini) Daddario.
John owned a grocery store operating here in New Britain for many years. He owned and operated the store with his late father, Vittorio until his retirement and continued working there up until his own retirement. John greeted every customer with a smile.
“Uncle John” will always be remembered for all the wonderful memories he has given our family. John was a member of St. Ann Church, New Britain. John leaves behind several nieces and nephews: Martin Bernier and his wife Sherri of Southington, CT, Joyce Ciccio of Plantsville, CT, Elaine Wass and her husband Bill of East Berlin, CT, Kathleen Marchetti and her husband Ron of Kensington, CT, Maryellen Pollack and her husband Ron of Simsbury, CT, Gilbert Bironi and his wife Marion of Cromwell, CT, Carol Marold and her husband Ron of New Britain, CT, Joann Beeny and her husband Dave of Berlin, CT and Victor Daddario of Queens, NY.
Funeral Rites for John will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 with the procession departing at 9:15 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave. , New Britain, CT followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 101 North St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT.
