Obituary for Roy T. Kearns Roy T. Kearns, 57, of West Granby, passed away Thursday (July 19, 2018) at Valerie Manor in Torrington. Born in Manchester, he was a former resident of Simsbury, Windsor Locks, Florida and South Carolina before moving to West Granby. A graduate of Simsbury High School, he worked in the construction industry laying tile floors and countertops.

Surviving are his two sons, Jason and Justin Kearns in Florida; three sisters and two brothers, Robin Stroinski, Shari Mahon, Susan Lawrence, Richard Rose Jr., and John Lawrence; along with his mother, Sally (Elliot) Dampier and foster mother, Joyce Lawrence; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Roy was predeceased by his father, Richard Rose and his foster father, James Lawrence. Calling hours are Thursday evening (July 26, 2018) 5 to 7 PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain.
