Obituary for John Jack A memorial service for John Jack, age 95 of Hideaway, is scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Hideaway Lake Community Church with Bro. Herschel Sanders and Bro. Louis Mizelle officiating.

Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. John died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in Tyler at a hospice facility. He was born in Dallas on August 8, 1923 to the late John Clinton Jack, Sr. and Carrie Lou (Bardin) Jack.

John was formerly of Dallas and Greenville before moving to Hideaway in 2004. He worked for Raytheon, SW Aeromotive, & E. Systems in supply management. John thoroughly enjoyed golfing and attending church at Hideaway Lake Community Church.

He was also very active in Alzheimer’s care and support. John was preceded in death by 2 wives, Fleta Josephine Jack on November 22, 1982 and Betty Jo Jack on July 1, 2000, 2 sisters, Mary Jane Chappell and Helen Janelle Davis. He is survived by wife, Dorothy Smith-Jack of Hideaway; son, Charles Edward Jack of Hideaway; step-children, Shannon Smith of Las Vegas, NM; Mark Smith of Austin; William Smith of Denver, CO; David Smith of Manhattan, NY; Bennett Smith of Charlotte, NC; 2 granddaughters, Deena Lynn Jack and Charles Caleb Jack; 6 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren.
