John “JW” Butler February 22, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries John “J.W.” William Butler, 43, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at home. J.W. was born on April 24, 1975 in Nash County to Kenny and Linda Clements Butler. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Corine Clements and his paternal grandparents, William “Bud” and Dorothy Butler, and his dog, Zoe.

J.W. was an excellent carpenter and roofer. He would do anything he could for people. He is survived by the mother of his children, Fonda Butler; his parents Kenny and Linda Butler all of Roanoke Rapids; his children, John Butler, Jr of Buena Vista, VA, Taylor Norton and his girlfriend Kirkland, Dylan Butler and his baby girl Ashton Butler; his sisters, Amanda Pearson all of Roanoke Rapids and Nichole Cook and her husband Bobby of Windsor, VA; his nieces and nephews, Chelsea Reese, KaLeigh Cook, Brandi Moore, Rebekah Cook, Robby Cook and Cameron Pearson and nine great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at 7:30 P.M. in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Earl Cain, Minister officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the J.W. Butler memorial fund, c/o Kenny Butler, 49 Leaf Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
