John’s Obituary John R. Shepherd, 88, of Milroy passed away January 21, 2019. He was born in Rush County July 23, 1930, a son of the late Donald & Lillie (Huelsen) Shepherd. He married Natalie K. (Rudicel), in Connersville July 2, 1960 and she survives him.

John was retired from Dana Perfect Circle in 1983 after 29 years of service. He also enjoyed working at the Wal Mart deli for 8 years in Greensburg. John loved his farm and was a life long farmer in southern Rush County.

He was a 1948 graduate of Milroy High School and then served in the United States Marine Corps. during the Korean War. John and Natalie were members of the Milroy Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, John is also survived by two sons John L Shepherd, of Greenfield and Raymond W. (Colleen) Shepherd, of Dale,IN; a daughter-in-law, Jamie Shepherd of Houston, TX and grandson, Grant Shepherd. Two nieces and one nephew also survive. John was preceded in death by his son, Gino Shepherd, a brother Freeman Shepherd and sister, Dorothy Miller.

Military Honors and Celebration of Life will be 1 PM Friday Jan. 25, 2019 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Pastor Ron Simbro officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of services.

Burial will be at the Old Milroy Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Milroy Christian Church, Rushville Animal Shelter or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Online register book at www.
