John’s Obituary Bobinski, John Thomas, 71 of Waterford died Tuesday January 8, 2019 at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. He was born July 18, 1947 in New London to Walter and Doris (Poehlman) Bobinski. He attended St. Bernard High School, Mitchell College and Providence College.

He played baseball at both high school and college levels. John received a scholarship to play at Providence College. He earned the highest batting average, was recognized as the district batting champion and was selected all-conference.

John was honorably discharged from the US Navy and proudly served in Vietnam. John worked at Pfizer Inc. as a computer programmer in the production department, he retired in 2008. He married the former Pamela Buzenski on May 18, 1985, she survives him.
