John Wesley Bowersox, Jr., 71, of Finksburg, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Carroll Hospital Center. John was born on December 1, 1946 in Hanover, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late John W., Sr. and Laura E. (Schaeffer) Bowersox. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Ann Bowersox, whom he married on July 6, 1968.

John was a graduate of Westminster High School with the class of 1964. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed as a technician for Xerox,… Read More » and during retirement worked in parts delivery for Ernst Electric and was also a bus driver for Rills Bus Service.

John was a member of Patapsco United Methodist Church, and the American Legion Carroll Post #31. He enjoyed going to car races and golfing. Surviving in addition to his wife is son Kyle David Bowersox of Finksburg; siblings Mary Bowersox of Finksburg, Lucille Bowersox of Mexico, Roy Bowersox and wife Susan of Westminster; niece and nephew Karen and Michael Bowersox, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome friends on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. until the start of memorial services at 11:00 a.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd. , Westminster. Inurnment will be private in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
