Jon E. Scalzitti, 78, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 2, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Grapeville, a son of the late Edward and Margaret Paltnavich Scalzitti.

He was a member of St. Agnes Church. Prior to opening Bella Mimi’s in Jeannette, he was the owner of the former Armando’s in Irwin and Jon’s Cadillac and Oldsmobile Dealership in Latrobe. Prior to Jon’s illness, he was an avid golfer and was a member of the Jeannette Golf League.

Golf was the one thing he truly missed after becoming ill. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Martha N. “Marti” Bryant Scalzitti; children, Barbara Cina (Robert), of Gaithersburg, Md. , Jon Scalzitti (Richard Clark), of Pittsburgh, Cynthia Kasunic (Scott McNamara), of Jeannette, Kenneth Kasunic, of Sewickley Township, and Kristine Laukus (David), of North Huntingdon; eight grandchildren, Ali and Nathan Cina, Shawn Burtner, Richard Miller, Anthony and Dakota Kasunic and Alyssa and Ashley Laukus; five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Hannah and Ethan Burtner and Carlo and Carmen Kasunic; a sister, JoAnne Sukay, of Greensburg; a brother-in-law, David Sukay, of Greensburg; and three nephews, Jeff, Brian and Mark Sukay.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Jon at his funeral service to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC. , 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Ave.
