Jon Franklin Clark, age 56, of Elizabethton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Jon was born in Muskegon, Michigan to Franklin Delano Roosevelt Clark and Margaret Mae Miller Clark, of Muskegon, Michigan. Jon was a postmaster for the Fall Branch Post Office and was a United States Navy veteran.

He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Johnson City and enjoyed spending time with his family, biking, hiking, camping and riding his motorcycle. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Wendy Stewart Clark, of the home; three sons, Jon Michael Clark, Stewart Franklin Clark and wife Sarah Ann Zywica Clark and Nathaniel Ray Clark, all of Elizabethton; one daughter, Brittany Mae Clark Sandidge and husband Michael Scott Sandidge, of Gray; one granddaughter, Mallory Leann Clark; one brother, William “Bill” Robert Clark, of Muskegon; one sister, Cynthia Joy Nelson, of Muskegon; and two nieces, Kate Durbin and Kara Nelson. A service to honor the life of Jon Franklin Clark will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at St. John’s Episcopal Church with the Rev.

Canon SuzeAnne Silla, officiating. Music will be provided by the church and Jon K. Shell, bagpiper will also assist. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the church prior to the service on Sunday.
