Obituary for Joseph A. Hamilton Joseph A. Hamilton, age, 50 of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away at 6:55 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 12, 1967 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of Joanne (Ciarlando) Palmer and the late Joseph Hamilton. Joe worked as a structural engineer in the Metro area and went on to own and operate Hamilton Engineering.

Besides his mother he is survived by a son Mitchell J. Hamilton of Edwardsville; a daughter Jessica M. Hamilton of Edwardsville; three sisters, Patricia Badman & husband John of Alton, Helen Beard & husband Howard of Edwardsville, Jacqueline Hamilton of Venice, California; step father Mark Palmer of Edwardsville; step mother Yvonne Hopman of Edwardsville; & many nieces & nephews. Joe was a graduate of the SIUE School of Engineering and was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers. He loved spending time with family, coaching Jessica & Mitchell in softball & baseball, golfing, hiking, wood working and skiing.

Joe was known for his grilling and pool parties at his home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018, at the funeral home with Rev.
