Joe was born January 4, 1945 in Norfolk, VA to the late Joseph Thomas and Mary Christine Cobb Bryant, Sr. Joe retired from the US Army proudly serving his country for 24 years. He also retired from Civil Service at Ft.

Knox with 20 years of service. Joe loved to woodwork and enjoyed working on older cars. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lou Ann Bryant; children: Joseph Thomas (Amanda) Bryant III of Brandenburg, Jessica Lee (Daren) Wathen of Payneville, KY, and Adam “AJ” (Morgan) Bryant of Payneville, KY; five grandchildren: Camren, Cadence, and Ashlee Bryant, Jett Wathen, and Amelia Bryant; sister, Charmaine Claire of Albuquerque, NM; and brother, Gary (Sharon) Bryant of Norfolk, VA.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 12:00 PM EST at St. Theresa Church in Payneville, KY. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the church. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Lung Transplant Foundation, 1249 Kildaire Farm Road #323, Cary, NC 27511 or the Gary Sinise Foundation, PO Box 368, Woodland Hills, CA 91365.
