Obituary of Joseph Szymanski Mr. Joseph Edward Szymanski of Greenville Twp, NY passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 72. He was born December 7, 1945 in New York City the son of the late Edward Szymanski, Sr. and the late Zofia Pisarczyk Szymanski.

Joe married Hoda Cutler on March 26, 1964 in the Bronx. He worked as an HVAC Operating Engineer for 33 years for Local #94 in Manhattan. A Family Statement Reads: Joe (Hamper) was the ultimate hard-working man, story teller, problem-solver, outdoorsman, and self-taught jack-of-all-trades.

He could fix or build ANYTHING, and he did! Joe had big dreams from a young age and he worked tirelessly to make them all come true. He was always ready to tell a joke and then laugh at it with you, or alone, if you didn’t.

Joe kept all the family stories and history, and greatly enjoyed sharing them with everyone. Above all, Joe deeply loved his wife and family, he loved laughing and having a good time, and he will be forever cherished by those lucky enough to have known him. In his honor, please try to carry on Joe’s laughter, kindness, generosity, and fun-loving spirit as a testament to a life well-lived.

Szymanski Greenville Twp, NY Debra Lake and her husband, Dr. Gary Greenville Twp, NY Dan Szymanski and his wife, Mégan Greenville Twp, NY Brother: Edward Szymanski and his wife, Dee Rutland, VT Grandchildren: Gary James III, Zakary, Taylor, Noah and Nathan Lake Also several beloved nieces and nephews, and many very special and beloved cousins, as well as Lauren and Jason. Joe was predeceased by his brother, Frankie Szymanski. Visitation at Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main Street, Port Jervis, NY on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and again on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 10:00am to 11:00am.

Funeral services are Monday, September 24th at 11:00am at the funeral home. Cremation will be held at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA. Memorial contributions may be made in Joe’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, T.N. 38105-1942 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
