Obituary of Julia O’Brien Mrs. Julia A. O’Brien Millrift, PA Mrs. Julia A. O’Brien of Millrift, PA, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River, NJ. She was born in Washington Heights, NY the daughter of the late Andrew and the late Julia Veale Staunton. Julie was married to her loving husband John, on June 22, 1974 in St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Jersey City, NJ.

They were married 39 years until his passing in November of 2013. She was currently a member of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Matamoras, PA. Julie worked as a Customer Service Supervisor for Met Life Insurance Company in New York City along with her husband John.

Surviving are: Her brother, Andrew Staunton and his wife Pat of Quacker Hill, CT brother-in-law: James O’Brien of Pearl River, NY sister-in-law: Theresa DeBrito and her husband Manuel of Brazil. Also several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband John, and her sister-in-law Joan O’Brien.

There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00am in St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 307 Avenue F., Matamoras, PA 18336 with Rev. Joseph Manarchuck officiating.

Burial of ashes will follow in the Millrift Cemetery, Millrift, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Julie, to Make-A-Wish Foundation Of Hudson Valley, 828 S. Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, T.N. 38105. Funeral arrangements are by the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis.
