Joyce’s Obituary Joyce A. (Edwards) Pope, 83, of Liverpool passed away on Tuesday at Crouse Hospital. Born and raised in Syracuse, she graduated from Valley High School and has resided in Liverpool for the past 59 years. Joyce was a Bus Aide for Liverpool Central Schools and retired from Fay’s Drug’s in Liverpool as an Accounting Clerk.

She was past-president of the Liverpool Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. # 2348 Ladies Auxiliary and an active parishioner of Christ the King Church in Liverpool. She is predeceased by her husband Albert in 2014 and her brother John Edwards.

Joyce was cherished and adored by her family. She loved spending all of her time taking trips to Myrtle Beach and spending time at their family camp. She was a loving mother and grandmother and who will always be remembered in their hearts.

Joyce was also a devoted fan of the New York Yankees. Surviving to remember her spirit are her three sons, Michael C., Matthew K. and Mark J. (Lynn) Pope, three daughters, Deborah A. Francis, Elizabeth K. and Patricia M. Pope, 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, her sister, Joan Thompson, several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11:00 am in Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool with the Rite of Committal and burial to follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville. The Pope family would like to thank Crouse Hospital for their tender care they displayed towards Joyce. Please consider contributions in Joyce’s memory to Christ the King Church.
