Virginia’s Obituary Virginia “Ginny” E. Ryan, 79, of Liverpool passed away on Friday at Crouse Hospital. She was born and raised in Rochester, NY where she attended high school. Ginny continued her studies at SUNY Brockport obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Education in 1962.

Ginny was employed as a Pharmaceutical Technician for Fay’s Drug’s Store in Liverpool for 21 years retiring in 1995. She was a founding and active member of Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church in Liverpool. Ginny enjoyed traveling, especially cruising.

For over 30 years she was a member of Elevate Fitness, working out daily often being the first one to arrive. Ginny had a love for gardening and animals, especially her companion Maggie. Most of all she was proud to be involved in her grandchildren’s lives, attending their sporting events and concerts.

She is predeceased by her husband John “Tim” Ryan after a blessed union of 54 years in 2017, her son Michael in 1983 and her sister Patricia Prescott in 2010. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Matthew J. (Jennifer) Ryan, daughter, Kathleen A. (Daniel) Langlois both of Liverpool, three grandchildren, Samantha Ryan, Alexandra Ryan and Patrick Langlois , three brothers, Anthony (Elaine) Ryan of Henrietta, NY, Joseph Ryan of Webster, NY, Thomas (Judith) Ryan of Greece, NY, two sisters, Judith Reddy of Washington, Margaret Mary Ryan, SSJ. of Pittsford, NY, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville. Prayer services will be on Tuesday at 9:15 am at the funeral home and 10:00 am in Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will take place in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions in Ginny’s memory to Wanderers Rest Humane Association or Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church.
