Obituary for Juanita M. Summers RICHMOND, Ind. – Juanita M. Summers, age 84, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, August 31, 2018, at Reid Health. Born July 4, 1934, in Bethel, Indiana, to Homer and Florence Freeman Coleman, Juanita was a life-long resident of Wayne County.

She worked at Bergs Photo Finishing and in the cafeteria of Rose Hamilton School. Juanita was a foster parent to many foster kids. She was a member of Quaker friends and a 4-H leader.

Survivors include her five daughters, Cynthia Kendall of New Paris, Ohio, Heidi (Greg) White of Centerville, Indiana, Lori (Chris) Schoemaker of Caledenia, Wisconsin, Tanja Dillon of Richmond, and Wendy Davis of Morristown, Indiana; grandchildren, Steven (Anita) Hutchens Jr., Michael (Amber) Summers, William (Melissa) White, Kira (Michael Long) Lowden, Penny (Pat) Smoker, Tracy Schoemaker, Melody (David) Duhart, Rian (Jessica) Lowden, Kristin (Tony) Begley, Christofer Summers, Taylar (Chelsea Ross) Souther, James (Emily Gibbs) Davis, Emerald (Travis Parks) Davis, Chris (Donna) Cones, Julie (Daniel) Ashton, and Amber (Codie) Shreve; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Chasidy, Logan, Noah, Corban, Ada, Hannah, Amos, Amarey, Dante, Mylo, Miles, Drew, Liam, Evan, Owen, Jordyn, David, Nevaeh, Alden, Madison, and Riley; sister, Janet (Jerry) Hill of Hilliard, Ohio; brother, Ronald Coleman of Richmond; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Frank Summers, who died May 27, 1986; parents; foster daughter, Vicki Hill; granddaughter, Danika Lowden; sister, Faye Petty; brothers, Leland and James Coleman; and sons-in-law, Jeff Davis and Steve Dillon. Graveside service for Juanita M. Summers will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Spartanburg Cemetery in Spartanburg, Indiana, with Pastor Kim Lorraine Wybiral officiating.
