June Constance Roos, 95, formerly of Hypoluxo, FL, died Friday, November 23, 2018 at Lorien in Taneytown. Born July 12, 1923 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Willard M. Shipley and Margaret Jaeger Shipley. She was predeceased by her husband Lars Roos.

Before retiring she was a Legal Secretary at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab in Silver Spring, MD and a Legal Secretary for Gary Zwickle in West Palm Beach Florida. She was a member of the Eagles, Moose, VFW and Power Squadron all in Florida. She volunteered at JFK Hospital and also took some Nursing Classes and received a certificate.

She enjoyed gardening and having fun, she was a fun loving, people person and they loved her back. She is survived by her children Richard D. Shilby of Hanover, PA, Sheila M. George of Taneytown and Marlene A. Plattel of Anza, CA; grandchildren John R. George, Felicia Brenner, Christopher George and Kathleen A. Rivera; great-grandchildren Jake Northrup, Victoria Northrup, Reese George, Grayson George and Ainsley Rivera. Services will be announced at a later date.
