June Louise Kiefer, 92, of Hermann, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis,Missouri. June was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 24, 1925, a daughter of the late Ralph W. & Ethel M. (Williams) Botkin. She was the widow of Arwood V. Kiefer.

They were united in marriage on July 28, 1945 in Clinton, Oklahoma. Arwood preceded her in death on June 29, 2002. June was a homemaker and later in her retirement years she owned & operated a hand woven shop.

She was a member of Hermann United Methodist Church, the church’s Women’s Fellowship and the Gasconade County Bible Society. She was a former member and president of the Hermann Garden Club and a member of Weavers Guild. June is survived by a daughter, Karen Blanks & husband Richard, of Shawnee, Kansas; a son, Mark Kiefer & wife Kathy, of Glen Carbon, Illinois; by four grandchildren, Meghan Brown & husband Jason, of Glen Carbon; Joshua Blanks, of Shawnee; Todd Kiefer & wife Rachel, of Glen Carbon; and Jordan Kiefer & wife Courtney, of Glen Carbon, and by three great grandchildren, Peyton, Elliott, and Landry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and by a son Randall. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 19th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hermann United Methodist Church, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Beth Duckworth officiating.

Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann, Missouri. Memorials may be given to Hermann U.M.C. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
