She transitioned to eternal life on January 22, 2019. She was a member of Maple Street Baptist Church, Roanoke, VA, where she served on the Senior Usher Board, Senior Missionary Board and Deaconess Board.

Kathleen was married to the late William C. Wright Sr This union reared four children: Richard, William Jr. (WC), Sharon and Rhonda. Kathleen will be lovingly remembered by her son, William C. Wright Jr. (WC), of Roanoke, VA; two daughters, Sharon Wright Worthy, of Newark, NJ and Rev.

Rhonda Wright Mattox (Steve), of Rocky Mount, VA; grandchildren, April Wright Neal, of MD, Sonya Wright Hardy, of TX, Alycia Worthy Ali, of NC, Richard L. Wright Jr., of TX, Christopher Bagby, Angela Wright Blue, Katina Wright Otey, Wanda Wright Reed, and William C. Wright III, all of VA; 20 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Chester Francis, of Columbus, OH; two sisters-in-law, Sally Francis, of Boones Mill, VA and Derotha Wright, of Roanoke, VA; and a host of relatives and friends. A Celebration of Kathleen’s Life will be held in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 11:00 am; viewing will be at 10:00 am. The interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, 21440 Virgil H. Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
