Kenneth Dale Blanchard July 15, 1939 – December 5, 2018 Kenneth Dale Blanchard passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at his home in Harrisville with his family by his side. Ken was born on July 15, 1939 in Ogden, UT to Charles Clifford and Helen Marguerite Neuteboom Blanchard, the oldest of four children. He grew up in Ogden, playing baseball, walking to the Library each week for books to read, and setting pins at the bowling alley.

He graduated from Ogden High School, attended the University of Utah and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. On May 25, 1963 he married Joan Christensen, and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on May 25, 1971. They were blessed with seven children.

A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he enjoyed teaching Gospel Doctrine and singing in the choir. Ken traveled the world working in Foreign Military Sales at Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1993. During his career he took his family to Germany for three years and Spain for two years.

He loved the outdoors, riding horses, and four wheelers; teaching his boys to hunt and fish and camping with friends and family. An avid golfer he hit 2 holes-in-one, and in 2016 he bowled a 300 game. He is survived by his wife of 55 years; children Yvonne Michelle Bouwman (Jim), Jennifer Christine Bench (Jim), Matthew Kenneth (Grazyna), Nathan Earl, and Adam Hardy (Wendy); twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild with another on the way, and brother James Claude (Elaine) Blanchard.

Preceding him in death are his parents; sisters Joan Kaye Blanchard, Vickie Lynn Dean; infant twin sons David Ryan and Richard Tyler and in-laws Earl and Lenna Christensen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Colonial Springs Ward, 2360 North 600 West, Harrisville, Utah. Friends may visit with family on Monday, December 10th at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd.

from 6 t0 8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment in the Ogden City Cemetery.
