L. Jane Davis, age 87, of Taneytown and formerly of Union Bridge, died peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, Baltimore, following injuries sustained in a fall. Born December 30, 1930 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Ruth Strevig Krom. She was the wife of James W. Davis, who predeceased her in 2000.

Mrs. Davis was formerly employed with Union Bridge Clothing Company, had worked for her brother at Westminster Lighting,… Read More » and at Mathers Department Store, Westminster. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary, all of Union Bridge. She enjoyed taking care of her roses and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are her daughter, Carol Ann Tighe; granddaughter, Rachel R. Boone and Doug; and great-grandchildren, Summar and Bailey Quesenberry, all of Taneytown; siblings, Audrey Gist, Barbara Dell and Paul Allen Krom; sisters-in-law, Sue and Janet Krom; devoted niece, Karen Miller; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Terry Tighe; and brothers, Robert and Roy Krom. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14 at 2 p.m. at Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7301 Keysville Rd.
