Larry A. Pickel, 76, of Anderson, passed away on January 26, 2019. He was born on May 20, 1942 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Larry served in the Marine Corps and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.

After returning home to Chesterfield he established the Komakai School which he ran and taught at from 1964-1967. He is survived by his two sons: Landy Shane (Michelle) Pickel, Damon Shawn (Amber) Pickel, five grandsons; Austin, Jacob, Tyler, Caleb and Devin, sisters; Roxie (Dale) Hough, Jeanna (Terry) Werner, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; Margaret Lynn and Marvin J. Pickel.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, IN. Services will be Saturday, February 2, 2019, 1:00 pm. www.
