Larry Donell Spaulding of Lumberton January 20, 1952 – January 20, 2019 Larry Donell Spaulding, age 67, of Lumberton, NC died on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC. He was born in Columbus County, NC on January 20, 1952 to the late Wesley Evan Spaulding and the late Eliza Mitchell Spaulding. He was an iron worker by trade known as “Gabby”.

He was preceded in death by his parent; brother, Wilbert Spaulding; sister, Janice Freeman; brother-in-law, Henry Mitchell, and sister-in-law, Rose Spaulding. Mr. Spaulding is survived by his wife, Sandra Smith Spaulding of Lake Waccamaw; children, Donell Spaulding (Jennifer) of Lake Waccamaw, Kellie Spaulding Freeman (Bryan) of Lumberton, Christy Spaulding Leland and Candice Hawkins (Luther) of Lake Waccamaw; grandchildren, Christian Rhyne, Zacharie Williamson, Abbigail Williamson, Karlie Burks, Evan Spaulding, Bella Spaulding, Mason Hawkins, and McKenzie Hawkins; brothers, Herman Spaulding, Dean Spaulding (Pam), Marty Spaulding (Melissa) all of Lake Waccamaw, and Jamie Spaulding (Amanda) of Whiteville; sisters, Gloria Mitchell and Irene Moore (Melton) of Lake Waccamaw, and Wanda Sasser (Allan) of Bolivia, Sheryl Young (John) of Council, and Deborah Spaulding of Lake Waccamaw; brother-in-law, Russell Freeman of Bolton; and a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton and at St. James Baptist Church in Lake Waccamaw on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.

The funeral service will be on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM at St. James Baptist Church in Lake Waccamaw with Rev. James Graham and Rev. Tony Ward officiating.

Burial will follow the service at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery.
