Larry’s Obituary Larry James Alexander, 73, of Clover, SC, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019, at his home. He was born November 13, 1945, in York County, SC, son of the late James Calhoun Alexander and Amy Catherine Lynn Alexander. Larry was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He retired after 18 years of service from Meridian Yarns in Ranlo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Dale Alexander and brother, Roger Alexander. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of over 50 years, Diane Blalock Alexander; sons, Kenny Alexander and wife, Geraldine, Chris Alexander; daughter, Angela Alexander; brothers, Rickie Alexander, Bobby Alexander, Mike Alexander, Steve Alexander, Danny Alexander, Johnny Alexander; sisters, Geraldine Jackson, Janice Lindley; grandchildren, Jessica Holloway, Nick Bright, Jacque Alexander; and great grandchildren, Cayden Tarsitano, Shaleigh Roberts, and Piper Alexander.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, 3:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia. Pastor Jason Jackson will be officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gastonia. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
