He was born in Huntington, West Virginia on June 7, 1969 to the late William McComas and Martha Payne Hendrix. He was a Farmer and is survived by his: Father Billy Joe Smith and (Carolyn) of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, mother Martha Payne Hendrix of Russellville, two sons Aaron Smith (Kate) and Dustin Smith both of Russellville, daughter Natalie Smith of Russellville, two brothers Barry Yates (Tammy) of Russellville and Billy Coleman of Korea, two sisters Sharon Coleman of Franklin, TN and April Yates (Doug Snell) of Russellville and two grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Larry Joe Smith will be conducted Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel.
