Obituary for Leoda A. Cole Leoda A. Cole, 97, of Swannanoa, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2018. Mrs. Cole was born December 5, 1921 in Franklin County, VA. She retired from Three Mountaineers, Inc. and was a member of First Baptist Church, Swannanoa.

Leoda is preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Cole; and brother, Johnny V. Thompson. She is survived by her children, Jeanie Miller (Keith) and Gary Cole (Mary Ann); brother, Charles D. Thompson; grandchildren, Laura Oglesby, Cheryl Brockmeier, Wes Cole, and Brent Miller; and four great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals.

A private interment will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Givens Highland Farms and Carolyn Davis, longtime friend and caregiver, for the kind and compassionate care they provided for Leoda.
