Leona Fay Watts Allred March 21, 1938 ~ October 20, 2018 OGDEN – Leona Fay Watts Allred, 80, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Ogden Regional Medical Center. Leona was born on March 21, 1938 in Ogden to Madge Leona Hansen and Eldon Fay Watts, the oldest of six children. She was raised in Ogden and Willard.

She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1956 and joined the Navy. She met Richard J Dunn and they were married in 1957. They had four daughters.

They were later divorced. She married Miles “Mike” Allred in 1970. He preceded her in death in 2009.

Leona worked at and retired from Hill Air Force Base. She loved spending time with her family, knitting, reading books, and playing games such as BINGO and Solitaire. The past three years she has lived at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home in Ogden.

She was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Order of Eastern Star Miriam Chapter 14, and The Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints. Leona is survived by her four daughters and their spouses, Loretta and Rodney Park, Clinton; Winnie Lee and Mark Moulton, Ogden; Kathryn and Kenneth Coon II, Sandy; and Richelle and Jim Lamph, Sandy. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; 5 siblings, Robert Watts, Patricia and Stewart Gudmundsen, Richard and Linda Watts, Karen and Paul Rash, and Adele Watts.

She was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Heidi Coon and Karney McKinney and by her sister-in-law, Martha Watts. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. where military honors will be accorded. Memorial contributions are suggested to George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home Activities Fund.
