Obituary for Leonard Harris Leonard Harris, 91, of Muskogee, Oklahoma entered Heaven’s Gates on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born December 23, 1926 to Thomas Creed Harris and Bertha Lee (Davis) Harris in Oktaha, Oklahoma. Leonard joined the United States Army Air Corps during WWII and served with the Occupation Troops in Japan.

He later received an honorable discharge. Leonard married the love of his life, Betty June Taylor, on December 28, 1946 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. They shared 57 years of a wonderful life and marriage together until her passing in 2003.

Leonard worked as an Electron Beam Operator for Fansteel Metals until his retirement in 1988. He was a faithful member of Southeast Baptist Church. Leonard was a handyman and could fix just about everything.

He enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and anything else he could get his hands on. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty June (Taylor) Harris; brothers, Lester Harris, Lemey Harris and Leon Harris.

Leonard is survived by his daughter, Lyn Moore; son, Kim Harris and wife Linda; grandchildren, Scott Moore and wife Nicole, Chris Harris and wife Celeste, Brad Harris and wife Sarah, Amanda Harris and Jody Moore; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Crittenden; and many other family members and friends. A celebration of Leonard’s life will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 18, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Murray officiating. Interment will follow at Middleton Chapel Cemetery with Scott Moore, Chris Harris, Brad Harris and Jody Moore serving as pallbearers.
